Donald Flynn is a Senior Associate in the Capital Markets Group of Optimar Real Estate, focused in the acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate investment sales.
Donald is responsible for sourcing off-market industrial real estate opportunities for retained clients within the group; REITS, Pension, Private Equity and Real Estate Funds across the country.
Donald aids by structuring straight sales as well as sale and leaseback transactions, and furthering existing relationships with industrial businesses who own the real estate their business occupies. Through these efforts, he is able to provide industrial real estate owners, investors, and developers with acquisition, disposition, and recapitalization strategies that maximize value and achieve the client’s goals and objectives.
Donald is also an acquisitions analyst for Optimar’s sister development fund, Benher Capital Partners. He is responsible for sourcing investment properties for the group while also spearheading initial valuation and analysis.
The completion of the real estate certificate program at NYU led him to his commercial real estate career. To date, Donald has been involved in the sale and leasing of over $100M in real estate transactions. Previously, Donald was an Associate at Highcap Group, where he began his commercial real estate career sourcing off-market sales.
Donald is an alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied Economics. Donald is currently an active member of The Real Estate Board of New York, a life member of the Texas Exes Alumni Association, as well as New York Road Runners, in which he is training for the New York City Marathon.
